Card of the Day
0 The FOOL Reversed
Ponder this ...
• What do I need to make sure is finished, completed, done, in the past before moving into and starting new things in the new year ?
• Can I honour the need (my own or another's) for alone time even during the holiday season ?
• Am I letting my imagination get carried away to the point of being naive or gullible ?
Man, once surrendering his reason, has no remaining guard against absurdities the most monstrous, and like a ship without a rudder, is the sport of every wind. With such persons, gullibility which they call faith, takes the helm from the hand of reason, and the mind becomes a wreck. ~ Thomas Jefferson
There’s an interesting energetic dichotomy at play today.
On the one hand, the Moon in Leo firing up an extroverted arty mode. And then there’s the reversed 0 The Fool card showing up (in addition to Mercury square Neptune), which makes us feel like we just want to retreat from the world, build a fort out of sheets and blankets, and hide away in a magical world birthed from our imagination.
If someone says something along the lines of, « Leave me alone, » let’s honour that rather than trying to talk them out of it or boost their spirits with some holiday cheer.
If we feel the need to say, « I want to be alone, » let’s honour that and not feel obligated to be in social situations or boisterous party atmospheres that can cause us to feel onely, or can spark resentment or anger causing us to not be able to hold our tongue properly.
This is not the time to be taking a big gamble or risk, calculated or not. Play things safe for the next few days. Keep the spending in check rather than assuming you can rely on a bonus that hasn’t yet been announced or paid, racking up unnecessary credit card debt, or dipping in to savings more than is wise or comfortable to take advantage of a « buy low, sell high » stock market situation (or selling at a loss due to fear-based reaction to the volatility).
A calm, mature, wise, level-headed approach to things today will pay dividends later.
Let’s not be caught out by gullibility or naiveté. Know what lies ahead before taking the next step … have the patience to step back and wait out the storm before moving ahead with a clearer, more focused sense of the landscape … focus on finishing up what lingers.
All of this is a precursor to a January and February that will be highly energised and full of momentum to get things started, moving, progressing. Let’s not have any loose ends or neglected details tangle up our ability to move confidently, fully and with great vision into the future as we move in to the new year.
