Astrology of the Week 02 ~ 08 February 2026

Astrology of the

Week

02 ~ 08 February 2026

This week asks us to stop pretending that comfort equals safety. Stability should support growth, not numb us into smallness. Upgrade life with honesty, flexibility, and courage. Small changes matter more than dramatic gestures. Speak truth thoughtfully. Listen to our body and our finances. Let relationships evolve instead of clinging to old patterns. Choose progress that feels sustainable, not flashy. This is a week that rewards honesty, flexibility, and mature choice. This is not about blowing up our life. It’s about stopping the slow leaks that drain our energy, money, and self-respect.

We may have access to significant insights this week. Innovative, freedom-loving, high-energy Uranus will be a very strong influence in our individual and collective experience for most of February. The Uranus effect will likely be most obvious when it squares Mercury on 05 February and squares Venus on 08 February. Surprising or sudden changes, breakthroughs and breakdowns, eccentric or erratic behaviours, revolutions, and rebellions carry into the rest of the month with Uranus square both the Sun (15 February) and Mars (27 February), and reigning over the Solar Eclipse in Aquarius on 17 February.

We have entered the first eclipse season of 2026 : Solar Eclipse + New Moon Aquarius on 17 February, and a Total Lunar Eclipse + Full Moon in Virgo on 03 March. Eclipse season is a time of major completions, clearings, resets, and course corrections. Changes that occur during this time often feel fated or karmic, and can alter our collective history. These two eclipses and the Saturn-Neptune conjunction all occur within a three-week period for a potentially life, if not world, altering February.

URANUS DIRECT IN TAURUS (03 Feb ~ 25 April)

The next three months are about clarifying what we truly value and liberating ourselves from a resistance to change. Stalled change since last September can open back up; everything that has been quietly irritating us suddenly wants a decision. Upgrade instead of detonating.

As sudden changes around stability, values, money, and the physical body that have been under revision for months are reactivated, the tension shifts from internal unrest to visible movement. Something that felt tolerable suddenly feels impossible to ignore. Money habits, clutter, physical burnout, undercharging for our work, staying quiet to keep the peace. The inner discomfort moves into real-world choices.

Focus on making material major changes with stability, security, resources, or finances over the next couple of months. There’s transformation around what authentically feels secure. This can lead to changes in financial priorities, work structures, or how we manage resources and time.  Anything seeming unstable is exactly where growth requires flexibility rather than control. Once Uranus shifts into Gemini at the end of April for a seven-year stint, we are likely to witness communication styles undergoing a global shift.

Uranus is now aligned with the fixed star Algol, called by ancient astrologers the « Demon Star » and believed to activate extreme events, destruction, chaos, and decapitations. On an individual level, we may deal with emotions that have been suppressed. Some may figuratively « lose their heads » and behave strangely or in surprising ways. Algol can also activate feminine power, especially when faced with patriarchal oppression. The last time Algol was strongly activated was mid-July 2024, when Mars conjoined Uranus and both were aligned with the fixed star.

MERCURY SQUARE URANUS (Thursday)

Brilliant Ideas, Questionable Timing. New information may challenge what we thought we knew. Disruptions in communications, transportation, and technology are possible. Conversations and revelations can come from out of left field. We are likely to see flaws in systems, conversations, and routines quickly. It might be tempting to be impulsive with any changes we want to make, but we need to calm that down and go about it in a smart way. Gather needed information, and keep an open mind. It is easy to come up with brilliant new ideas, but it is also easy to say too much at once or let our mouths run away with us, so beware the temptation to say something flippant or out of touch that might come back to bite us.

MERCURY IN PISCES (06 Feb ~ 14 April; Rx 26 Feb ~ 20 March)

A shift in perception. Increased imagination and intuition, extra creativity, greater expression of support for others. Conversations lean emotional, symbolic, or indirect. Precision requires effort. Dreams may feel vivid. Empathy increases. It’s easier to follow our intuition to new ideas and connections, rather than attempting to think clearly and concisely. The mind stops trying to control the narrative and starts trusting in inner wisdom instead.

Thoughts slow down, but feelings speak louder and details get fuzzy. Our minds can be especially impressionable, and we could pick up on collective thoughts and mindsets more readily. Thinking may be too heavily influenced by our emotions, so we may not always see reality or details clearly. Lean into imagination and listening. Write things down. Confirm plans instead of assuming. Let insight arrive without forcing logic onto everything.

This can be a very inspired cycle, but it is important to note that Mercury will turn retrograde at the end of the month, so a lot of subjects that arise over the next few weeks will likely come back around for a second look in March.

VENUS SQUARE URANUS (Sunday)

Freedom tests what’s real. Desire wants space. Attachment wants security. People may act unpredictably. We may want to force our way, but should try to take a step back and see the full picture first. Change is great, but maybe stick to temporary changes, as anything « different » can seem like a good idea, even if it turns out to only be a passing fancy.

Sudden attractions, boundary resets, or money wake-up calls surface where comfort replaced self-respect. Issues of freedom and independence could arise in relationships. This doesn’t destroy healthy relationships. It exposes fragile agreements and outdated compromises. Alliances that are strong and accepting of differences will adapt, while those that are built on shaky foundations could be challenged.
