The biggest revolution may begin inside our mind. The desire for change and the reshaping of how we communicate and process information turns inward. For the next few months, the new thing is something we go back for rather than something that arrives. Instead of immediately rebelling against our circumstances, we may start questioning the beliefs, habits, relationships, and mental patterns that have been keeping us stuck. We may start to embrace (if not exactly champion) the very things we once found objectionable. This growing realisation will slowly dawn on us over the next few months so that the changes we elect to make in our life will be more incremental and long-lasting.
Which opinions are actually ours ? Which conclusions were inherited, repeated, or accepted because they were familiar ? Where has constant information made us more distracted rather than more informed ?
We are being shaken, stirred and disrupted in order to open our minds to new ideas and even high-level information. We may be feeling a heightened sense of anticipation, nervousness, scattered or a bit frayed at the edges, or anxiety. Our bodies feel both excitement and fear in the same way; it is our minds that decide whether to associate the feelings with either positive or negative potentials. Strong emotions can erupt into turmoil or rage. Emotional intelligence reminds us that life is much easier for people who work on themselves rather than barreling through life chaotically, wondering why it keeps going wrong.
